This is a smoothie that I make for the kids each morning before they head out the door to Before School Care.
These early mornings see me drop the kids at Before School Care around the 7.30am mark. They enjoy making their breakfast at school but it is not quite as healthy or filling as I would like. So I use a morning smoothie before we leave the house as a bit of insurance that they are having something healthy, filling and full of goodness to start their day.
Vary the quantities to suit the number of kids and taste preference. The following ingredients list makes a large drink for two.
- Water - 1/2 Cup
- Yogurt (this morning we had Mango) - 2 -3 Tbs
- Milk - 1/2 Cup
- LSA - 1 Tsp
- Chia Seeds (ground) - 1 Tsp
- Vital Greens - 1 Tsp
- Banana - 1
- Frozen Mango - 1/2 Cup
- Rolled Oats - 1/2 Cup
Put all the ingredients into a food processor, blender (or your preferred method of blitzing) and blend until smooth.
Serve immediately & Enjoy
